Managed IT Services

Two engagement levels. Remote Support covers unlimited remote helpdesk, monitoring, antivirus, automated updates, and Microsoft 365 management. Complete Support adds unlimited onsite support, bi-annual ICT strategy reviews, and discounted project rates. Both include P1–P4 response commitments.

Managed Security

Layered onto any engagement. INKY GenAI email protection, EDR with 24/7 SOC monitoring, Dark Web monitoring, M365 SaaS security, automated backup with 6-month retention, LastPass Business, vulnerability scanning, security awareness training and phishing simulation.

Infrastructure Projects

Video conferencing rooms (Zoom, Teams, Webex), network installations, office relocations, server and virtualisation deployments, cloud migrations to Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365.

Procurement

Hardware and software through Dicker Data and Ingram partnerships. Computers, networking, servers, software licensing, AV equipment, telecommunications hardware. No ongoing commitment required.

Strategic friction

Decisions made with clarity.

Should we move to the cloud? Is our cyber posture adequate? Which AI platform actually fits? Uncertainty drains energy and delays decisions. We replace it with clarity, without an agenda.

We’re LLM-agnostic, but we lead with Anthropic’s Claude — the most reliable model we’ve found for enterprise work — and partner with OpenAI and Microsoft where they fit.

The client

A multi-disciplinary engineering firm with 80 staff across 9 offices in NSW and QLD.

The friction

Jones Nicholson had a wealth of information across the organisation but was relying on manual administration to collate it. Business users lived in Excel. Project management ran through Total Synergy. Reporting came from multiple vendors. Every stakeholder leaned on IT to extract insight from data — strategic friction layered on operational friction. Managing Director Mark Molloy wanted a self-sufficient environment where operational performance and customer behaviour could be understood in real time.

What we did

Implemented Microsoft Power BI connected to an on-premises SQL Server Analysis Services cube containing 10 million rows of data, refreshed in near-real time. Using in-memory technologies in SQL Server 2016, staff and managers can now surface insights across regions and departments in under two seconds. Manual reporting was replaced with bespoke, self-service, real-time reports.

The result

Jones Nicholson now creates data-rich reports with predictive analytics and real-time alerts. The organisation became more reactive, more proactive, and more profitable.
